Louis Venezia is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in fire and emergency services, dedicated to ensuring public safety and organizational excellence. Currently serving as the Fire Chief for the Bloomfield Fire Department in Bloomfield, New Jersey, Venezia oversees a department of 98 firefighters, including volunteers, and civilians, ensuring efficient and effective operations. His responsibilities include managing budgets, fire scenes, and developing comprehensive policies and procedures to guide the department effectively.

Prior to his role as Fire Chief, Venezia served as Deputy Chief, where he supervised fire Captains during emergencies, managed training programs, and facilitated fire safety training for schools and the community. With previous experience as a Fire Captain, Venezia demonstrated strong leadership in assigning and supervising firefighting activities and directing emergency response crew. In addition to his roles in the fire department, Venezia serves as Treasurer/Manager for the Bloomfield Fire and Police Credit Union, overseeing assets of $9 million and ensuring financial stability and compliance.

He holds various certifications in fire safety and management, including Certified Public Manager from Rutgers University. Active in numerous organizations such as the Essex County Planning Board and the Executive Committee of 200 Club of Essex, Venezia is committed to serving his community and promoting fire safety. Venezia continues to make significant contributions to the field of fire and emergency services.
