Director/Writer
Howard Libov is the director and co-writer of the feature film Favorite Son,
starring Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black, The Wire) and Connor Paolo
(Gossip Girl, World Trade Center).The film is in distribution with Bayview
Entertainment and available on AppleTV+ and Amazon Prime). Libov has also
written and directed short films, including Men Will Be Boys, with Joel Murray
(Second City, Mad Men), David Pasquesi (Veep, Groundhog Day) and Sally
Murphy (The Good Wife, Scent of a Woman). Libov’s short film, Little Man,
starring Frankie Muniz (Malcolm in the Middle) was selected for more than 25
film festivals and won Best Drama at the International Festival of Sport Film. He
is the director and co-writer of the feature film, Midnight Edition with Will
Patton (A Mighty Heart, Remember the Titans) which won Best First Feature at
the Festival of Fantastic Film in Spain. Libov is the Director of the Film production
program at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he also serves as Chair, School of
the Arts. He is an alum of The American Film Institute, and New York University’s
Tisch School of the Arts.
