Simon Mandal started performing magic as 10 year old. He read magic books at the library, and watching beginner magic videos (on VHS!) Simon knew that was going to be either a magician or a comedy writer. After performing in plays throughout high school, Simon studied acting at the prestigious Mason Gross School of the Arts, and legendary William Esper Studio. During those years, Simon worked professionally as stand-up comic in Manhattan. Simon’s stand-up act formed the foundation for his later comedy magic act. Simon was lucky enough to take extensive private lessons with two performers who are legends in the magic world. Gazzo Osborne, a legendary English street performer, who was recently featured on Penn & Teller’s “Fool Us”, and Whit Haydn, a brilliant magician and comedian, who regularly headlines at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. Simon went full time in the early 2,000’s, and has been developing his own magic ever since. Simon Mandal is one of the most in demand illusionists in the world today. Mandal combines incredible feats of skill with hilarious interactive routines that bring the house down, and make his volunteers look like and feel like stars. Simon has brought joy to over 4,000 groups. Notable clients include Google, MGM, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, Johnson & Johnson, Mercedes, Samsung, La Praire Switzerland, and Princeton University where he is also a popular guest lecturer at the University’s magic club. In his spare time, Simon plays electric guitar, and is involved in Magical Healing, a non-profit that teaches kids magic, and brings magic to the disadvantaged.
